Why should your answer to things in life be "here am I, send me"? Find out here. Now is the time. In a world in which we live in where abortions and same-sex marriages are acceptable. In a world in which we are surrounded by filthy language, trash talk.
Now is the time. In a world that is filled with war and hate and violence. In the world that you are a part of as you go to school each and every day. Now is the time. A world in which you live in when you are surrounded by rejection, and lies, and cheating, and stealing, and bullying, and drugs, and alcohol. Now is the time. In a world like ours; where homes are broken and fathers and mothers are gone. In a world in which we live in when we don't know who to trust or who to turn to. Now is the time. It is time for you and I to step up and answer God's call in our lives to lead. It is time for us to step up in our worlds and the worlds of others around us and do something that will change the lives of those people. It is time for us to lead and that might sound scary to you. That may sound frightening because all of the things I just listed. That list seems to be a whole lot bigger than me. And that list seems to be a whole lot more difficult than what we can handle. In Ecclesiastes 3, Solomon wrote that there is an appointed time for everything. We are standing at the threshold of change, if and only if we will answer that call. In Isaiah6:8, God called Isaiah to lead and he said "here am I, send me." God has called us to lead. Will your answer be "here am I, send me" like Isaiah or will it be "Who am I to go and do this thing" like Moses in Exodus3:11? God will be with you and help you throughout your leading. Don't be afraid, you aren't alone. By: Jennifer Odom
