Being a Christian in a world full of sin can be hard. It can be hard to keep on spreading God's Word to people who don't seem to listen to what we say. It can be hard to keep shining your Christian light when people are trying to put it out. I get it. Being a Christian is hard for me at times. I try my absolute best to shine my light wherever I go. At school, it seems as if shining my light is not making a difference. At times I feel like just giving up; giving up shining my light, giving up spreading God's Word, and giving up trying to impact people's lives through Christ. I just want to give up. Giving up trying to live a godly life is something that should definitely not be done. So, what should you do when you want to give up?
How do you walk? People walk in many different ways. Some walk with one foot right in front of the other, some roll their heels when they walk, some people walk on their hands, etc. The Bible tells us of many ways that we should walk spiritually. Three of the ways that we should walk are found in Ephesians chapter 5.
My name is Jennifer Odom and I've been a Christian since October 2011. I'm an 18-year-old sophomore at Freed-Hardeman University. I like reading, crocheting, and Bible journaling. My favorite verse is Philippians 1:21. I write for Tomorrow's Church, Today and am the editor for Beyond the Foam. I hope to speak at several ladies days, become a music teacher, get involved with mission work, and bring as many people as I can with me to heaven. Stepping in Light is affiliated with the church of Christ.
