You're the One. Lord the people praise you. Lift You up and raise You. Lord the people love You. Place nobody above You. Bless Your name Lord Jesus. The only name that frees us. We will praise you right here and now. Lest the hills and rocks cry out.

You're the One. I'm not exactly sure where I first heard this song, but I really like it. God is the One. There are a lot of things that God is the only one of. He is the only One that can bring us true peace, the only One who can create something out of nothing, the only One that loves us so much that He sent His Son to die for us, the only One that can guide us down the right path 100%, the only One that can wash away our sins. Throughout this song, it tells us of things that we do because of Him being the Holy One and the only One.

Lord the people praise You. Lift You up and raise You. We praise God. We lift Him up so that others can see Him and His great power. God is the only One that we can raise up that causes others to benefit because He is flawless. God is and always will be our perfect example, He is also the only perfect example. By making Him the top priority in our life, we raise Him up. Others will notice something different about us when we raise God up. They will see God's perfect example and maybe follow His example.

Lord the people love You. Place nobody above You. God is the only One that someone can love and not place somebody else above that person. By loving God, we see how awesome and powerful He is. We understand  that there is nobody who deserves to be above Him. He is the High King. Nobody can surpass His great love for us. We love God because He first loved us. God is the only One that we can love and have no good reason for not loving Him.

Bless Your name Lord Jesus. The only name that frees us. God is the only One that can free us from the bondage of sin. Until we are baptized into Christ, we are a slave to sin (John 8:34). God is the only One that can wipe away our sins and truly forget them. Although we may forgive someone for something, we don't necessarily forget. We remember the wrong that has been done, but God forgets the wrong. He is the only One that is able to completely do this. We may forget the wrong after a few years, but God forgets as soon as we ask for forgiveness (Isaiah 43:25).

We will praise You right here and now. Lest the hills and rocks cry out. Because God is the only One that we can raise up that causes others to benefit, the only One that can be the High King, the only One that can free us from sin, we praise Him. Right here and right now we need to praise God. In Luke 19:40 Jesus says "I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out." If we don't praise God and  don't show Him to others, rocks would cry out (figuratively). We NEED to praise God and we NEED to share His word with others. I heard and illustration about a tea cup and a teapot.  "A teapot is good because it stores the tea, but it also pours it out into other vessels. It fills until it's empty, then goes back to the kettle to get full again. The tea cup, however, simply holds the tea. It is filled up to the brim, but then never shares into other cups, thus ending the cycle, and the tea sits and sits and never does anything." The tea cups that sit there and do nothing but keep their tea to themselves don't do any good. That's how it is with us sharing the Gospel. If we are like the tea cups and keep it to ourselves, we aren't doing any good. If we are like the teapot and share what we have, we can always go back to the Bible and fill ourselves back up to go fill others. We need to be like the teapot and we need to praise God. For He is the only One.
